Elliott Instruments CCDSPEC has been specially designed for amateur astronomers and small observatories, to take scientifically useful spectra of astronomical objects from stars and nebulae, to the red-shifts of galaxies and supernovae.
It has slit viewing optics to allow guiding of stars on the slit for long exposures of faint objects.
Most CCD cameras will fit CCDSPEC.
Available without a CCD camera for those who have their own or can be supplied with an Atik 314E CCD camera, pre-focussed and fully wavelength calibrated.
Full specification and results are on the CCDSPEC page.

DigiSPEC
This new instrument replaces both the original analog TVSPEC and TVSPEC-USB instruments.
Simply connect it to a USB port of your PC, point the spectrometer at a source of light, and observe both a real time spectrum and intensity graph live on your PC monitor.
The 16 bit digital spectrum is displayed directly in wavelength (nm) in the range 350-750nm with a wavelength resolution <2nm at 500nm.

SolarP
is an experiment which
allows students to determine the Solar
Power received at the Earth’s surface.
If we correct for the absorbtion in the Earth’s atmosphere we can determine the power per unit area above the Earth’s atmosphere and this is known as the “Solar Constant”.
This leads to the Solar Luminosity in Watt.
Using E=mc2 we can calculate the rate of conversion of mass to energy and the lifetime of the Sun.
Suitable for all levels of study from School to University students.SolarP
